Restoration

This Porsche 356 C was completely and professionally restored over a period of 14 months by Jensen Classics in Grassau.
The engine and gearbox were also overhauled.

The steel body was completely stripped of paint after which it was carefully inspected for corrosion.
Various panels and parts were replaced, including the front with the headlight cups and fender supports, battery box, both front fenders, sill parts, B-pillars, outer skin of the doors, rear bumper, etc. etc.
All body work was professionally done on a (Celette) straightening bench.
All seams of the doors and flaps have been carefully adjusted to factory specs at 5 mm.

After thorough preparation, the body was painted in a 1K acrylic lacquer from Glasurit in the original Porsche color Signalrot 6407.

The interior was completely renovated.
Before the Bouclé carpet set was put in, the bottom was covered with a 0.5 mm thick bitumen mat.
Seats, rear seats, door cards and dashboard were upholstered with leather.
The springs and seat cushions of the chairs were renewed.
Sun visors were renewed. All windows were reused, but they have few signs of use. Door seals were replaced.
Decorative trim and smaller chrome parts were renewed, the chrome trim of the doors were re-chromed.

Electricity (6V) was renewed, such as a new wiring harness and fuse box.
The gauges were overhauled and the original mileage (mileage: 94068 km) was converted into kilometers (new: 00000 km).

All lighting such as the headlights and indicators were renewed.
A Blaupunkt radio and a Hirschmann telescopic antenna have also been installed.

Chassis and braking system were checked and wear parts were replaced.
Brake calipers were completely overhauled and galvanized.
The engine (P 731343), gearbox (77701) and steering were completely overhauled.

The above-mentioned work are recorded in detail with many images, invoices and other documents.
This Porsche 356 C is in a top restored condition and was rebuilt as original as possible.
