PORSCHE 356 B HARDTOP COUPE KARMANN 90CV 1961 – The Porsche 356 was the brand’s first model. The evolution of the 356 was constant throughout its production history. Various changes were introduced throughout its production. It is a light and agile car, with a rear engine, rear-wheel drive, two doors, available in Coupé, Cabriolet, Roadster and HardTop configurations. The first Porsche 356 was certified on 8 June 1948 in Austria. It was a Porsche 356/1 Roadster produced in Gmünd, Austria. It was equipped with a 1,100 cm3 air-cooled flat-four engine. More than 50 cars were built in Gmünd and sold mainly in Austria and Germany. In 1950, the factory was relocated to Stuttcart-Zuffenhausen. For the 1960 model year, the 356 A was replaced by the redesigned 356 B. An exclusive ‘Karmann hardtop’ or ‘notchback’ 356 B model was produced in 1961 and 1962. from the dealer.Only 1,048 Coachwork by Karmann were produced in 1961. This beautiful and rare example has undergone a full restoration process and is in an excellent state of preservation.
