While Porsche Speedster models have evolved considerably since the concept was introduced with the 356 late in 1954, the basic recipe of a cut-down windscreen and minimalist folding roof has endured across the variations that have been revived periodically ever since.
Making its debut in 1993, the Speedster based on the 964-type 911 featured an air-cooled, naturally aspirated, 3.6-litre flat-six engine, which generated 247 horsepower and could reportedly achieve a top speed of 262 km/h. Only 936 examples were produced.
Built in June 1993, this Speedster was delivered via the official Porsche Centre in Levallois to Paris-based G. Michel in January 1995. Specified in Grand Prix White over a black leather interior, the car wore a set of 17-inch Cup wheels and was equipped with desirable optional extras including a more powerful battery and leather steering wheel. The car was maintained by marque specialist Alliance Auto over two decades of ownership.
In 2015, the 911 relocated to Belgium when it joined The Curated Collection. The odometer displayed 62,679 kilometres at the time of cataloguing, while a spare wheel, jack, and tool roll accompany the car.
