PORSCHE 356 A T2 SPEEDSTER for sale!

Beside the very original and rust free condition is the history a big plus on this car. It starts where it should start. The sales order from 1958! Mr. Patton bought the Speedster in may 1958 for the sum of $3.843 at British Motor Center in San Jose California. He traded in his ’55 Buick and made the deal. He ordered the car with Coupé seats and a full tonneau cover. Bought options are still with the car!
A big history file with service invoices, owner history is al documented in a big binder. Unique!

Body and Paint:
Most of the Speedsters were delivered in California. This because of the (financial) climate. Because of this climate some cars are so well preserved. This one is the prefect example of a real “ Californian Survivor” All original floors, panels and no rust! The gaps and panelfitting is like it came out of the factory. The car was repainted in its early life. A color change from the rare color Silver to an dark green metallic.
The paint job was done in the seventies. It is old and has patine all over it. In its very early life one owner liked the twin grill Rear decklid. An Original single grill decklid comes with the car.

Interior:
The interior is mostly original. This Speedster was delivered with coupe seats for comfort reasons. Later the seats were replaced for steel Speedster seats. The original seats are still with the car in their original upholstery!
Doorcards and Dash pad are still the original one. Unique!

Mechanical:
This Speedster is an amazing good driver. The Matching numbers 60HP engine is amazing quick. It was at least once rebuilt in 1977! Invoice comes with the car. $1251 with as remark: ‘Build original engine to concours engine.’

The matching numbers gearbox shift smooth in every gear without grinding. Good clutch.
