We often talk about the ‘college wall poster car’ to describe what makes a certain model attractive to a collector of a certain age and here we have ample proof. For this Porsche 3.0 Turbo was the childhood dream of the last owner which finally became reality following business success.

The highly respected Porsche expert Richard Tuthill, already known to this collector was chosen as the man to deliver on the dream and following an exhaustive search he finally found the right car and hence the project began. The car found, chassis 9306700598 was originally finished in black and delivered new in May 1976 by Porsche in Munich to a clearly flamboyant first owner, featuring as it did gold wheels, decals and a yellow interior! Other important options retained today included a limited slip differential and air conditioning. Importantly, when found, the car was matching numbers and was very original albeit requiring restoration with no apparent accident damage or modification, unlike many others.
