Das Fahrzeug im Detail

The 997.1 Turbo’s Significance: It’s the last 911 Turbo (and Turbo convertible) to house the iconic 911 GT1-derived Mezger twin-turbocharged engine in conjunction with a manual transmission. The 997.2 Turbos feature an all-new engine, while the 991 and now 992 turbos are only seen in PDK. Though the latter cars are more dynamic, powerful, and are even more technological wonders than the 997.1 Turbo, the Turbos preceding the 997.1 Turbo are larger in size, don’t feature the sought-after favorable sizing and mechanicalness as offered by the 997.1 generation Turbo. The 997.1 turbo is very much a new-age Porsche 959 with heightened usability for everyday use and is that car that will not be replicated again.

This extraordinary Turbo cabriolet displays an odometer reading of a low 7,XXX miles, shows a Clean CARFAX Report, benefits from a recent and complete servicing rendered by Ryan Friedman Motorcars‘ in-house Porsche Tech with 30 years of expertise (servicing specifics are available), and featured an original MSRP of $159,590 with a build sheet listing the following equipment: Brown Natural Leather; Axle-Differential Lock Rear; Deviating Carpet; Heated Front Seats; Parking Assist System; Sport Chrono Package Turbo; Remote CD Changer (6 Disc); Floor Mats in Interior Color; Leather Interior Natural Lthr; Switch Pnl Pkg Painted Ext Clr; Gear Lever Trim Exterior Color; Trim Strip Painted Ext Clr; Instr Surround Painted Ext Clr; Belt Outlet B Pillar Ext Clr; Gear Lever Trim in Leather; Headlight Cleaner Cvr Ext.Clr; Door Opener Painted Ext. Upon viewing the Turbo’s aerodynamically optimized body, your presence is welcomed by its incredible Midnight Blue Metallic finish, a shade that seemingly offers a range of appealing looks beneath various lighting conditions and when paired with the interior’s sensational Brown Natural Leather in conjunction with the front seats Midnight Blue Metallic covered seatbacks results for an achingly striking visual; a soft top finished in Metropol Blue; front bumper boasting integrated and aesthetically unobstructive headlight washers, intake duct incorporated LED turn signals and compact fog lights that are aptly stationed on the bumper’s outermost region; Bi-Xenon headlights; a sleek gas lid that’s understatedly incorporated into the right fender; 19-inch forged alloy Turbo wheels completed in a two-tone finish; the rear’s pronounced, muscular fenders that are accentuated by the model’s signature air intakes; a bi-plane rear spoiler featuring an automatically deploying top wing that raises at around 77 MPH and lowers at roughly 37 MPH; twin exhaust outlets that subtly protrudes from the distinctive, twin-vented, rear bumper.

Just before slipping inside of its fetching Brown Natural Leather adorned cabin, you’re first met by black door sills with ‚turbo‘ insignia plated in brushed-look aluminum, and when inside you can expect to find light-colored twin-stitching and aluminum/brushed aluminum/metallic-coated surfacing on select areas with carpeting completed in dark blue, the center compartment lid boasting an embossed ‚PORSCHE‘ logo and supple leather that extends onto the upper dashboard and door areas; one of the first things you’ll notice are the leather covered air vents slats and beautiful deep blue finished accenting covered areas such as on the seatbacks, dashboard’s center trim areas, center console tunnel, door pulls and the steering’s wheel center trim. The driver is faced with a 3-spoke steering wheel; titanium-colored instrumentation dials; a centrally located dash-mounted SportChrono dial also with a titanium-colored finish; 5.8-inch PCM display; the dazzling, 6-speed shifter offering clear-cut throws and possessing a gear lever design that’s native to the Turbo model. Front occupants are embraced by perforated Adaptive Sport seats featuring an embossed Porsche Crest on each headrest, memory settings for the driver, and can expect in-cabin audio playback via the BOSE Surround Sound System, featuring 12-speakers.
