1965 Porsche 356 C Cabriolet, S/N 161067, Silver with red leather, black soft top. 1,600cc SC motor (engine type 616/16, engine # 820625) mated to its original 4-speed gearbox (#81855) with upgraded “freeway” 4th gear, allowing lower engine revs when highway cruising. 4 wheel disc brakes. Blaupunkt radio, headrests, clock and Carrera rear muffler skirt. Final and best year for the 356. According to the Porsche Certificate of Authenticity, this C Cabriolet was delivered September 1964 in its original colors of Irish Green and light brown leather and while its early history is unknown, #161067 was restored in Southern California beginning about 20 years ago to a very high standard. A bare metal, “frame off” restoration was done and today is shows in spectacular condition inside and out. A factory SC motor, built by Dick Aubele is now in place of the original motor which the added HP really makes itself known when driving around town or on the highway. The addition of dual master cylinder brakes and the “freeway” 4th gear, make this the ultimate Cabriolet to take on tour, go to shows or cruise around town. Comes with tonneau cover and storage back, Porsche CoA, some service receipts and restoration photos, tool roll with tools and jack and owner’s manual.
