This configuration now results in a 356 that is noticeably more responsive than in its original mechanical configuration, while retaining the character and driving experience unique to the model. The car is sound, but its exterior appearance has been deliberately left in its original condition. Its black paint was applied in 1979—as evidenced by the invoice—and has not been replaced by a recent restoration. It now exhibits a pronounced patina, with various visible scratches and cosmetic imperfections, all clearly shown in the photo gallery.

The decision was made to preserve this original, documented paintwork rather than undertake a cosmetic overhaul that would have erased part of the car’s history.

Its documentation includes, notably, the Porsche COA, records of its California history, numerous vintage invoices, documentation of major mechanical work, and an appraisal conducted in September 2023 by a recognized Porsche specialist.
