In the area around the steering wheel, every touch in the KAEGE RETRO becomes a sensory experience: top-quality craftsmanship, visual accents, and tactile refinements turn every kilometer into a journey of pleasure—a leather steering wheel that caresses your hands, classically styled gauges, a high-end radio-navigation system with a vintage look, and a dashboard that completes the cohesive interior design. Technology: Air-cooled to perfection.
The KAEGE RETRO CLASSIC is powered by a completely overhauled engine from the 993—and thus the best air-cooled production technology ever built in Swabia. Meticulously disassembled, inspected, precisely balanced, and reassembled, the engine delivers an exceptionally refined, smooth, and stable performance.
Through careful fine-tuning, we’ve been able to boost power from 3.6 liters of displacement to 300 PS and beyond. Classic 911 feel. Thanks to the hydraulic tappets, the RETRO requires very little maintenance—but thanks to its OBD capability, it can be easily serviced by any Porsche dealer.
Consistently KW.
It goes without saying that we’ve also installed the proven KW suspensions in this “flagship project” from KAEGE. Comfort, damping characteristics, and sportiness are unmatched in this manufacturer’s suspensions—and they suit the Kaege RETRO perfectly.
Just like the 993.
Just as with the six-cylinder engine, we’ve made very few changes to the 993’s six-speed transmission. Although it’s been overhauled and thoroughly inspected: some things are simply perfect just the way they are.
Effortless yet powerful.
Reducing weight while maintaining reliable performance—this principle also guided our choice of battery. For this reason, we once again opted for a Liteblox lithium battery. A true lightweight made in Germany, proven and race-tested.
Safety &Comfort: Innovative Illumination.
A matter of safety: When it comes to headlights, “the good old days” seem to be much further in the past than for other components. For us, that’s reason enough to offer our in-house LED headlights in the KAEGE RETRO.
They blend seamlessly into the vehicle’s aesthetic, yet in terms of fuel efficiency, light output, and durability, they’re actually decades ahead of their predecessors.

Keep a cool head on your journey through time.
We were particularly pleased with some of the modern conveniences in the 993: Unlike the F-model, it came standard with air conditioning. Fully refurbished, it now ensures—along with the optional sunroof—that every joyride in the RETRO is marked not only by excitement but also by the perfect temperature.
