1994 Porsche 993 RWB “Rauh Welt Begriff”
If there’s one Porsche that perfectly captures the connection between Japanese car culture and the world of Porsche, it has to be an RWB.
Founded by Akira Nakai, Rauh Welt Begriff has become a cult name among Porsche enthusiasts around the world. The recipe is simple, but the result is anything but: an unmistakable wide-body stance, raw attitude and a level of individuality that makes every RWB instantly recognizable.
The roots of RWB go back to the Japanese street and drift scene of the 1990s. Nakai and his Rough World crew spent their time pushing cars like the legendary Toyota AE86 Trueno to the limit. That experience and the Japanese tuning mindset would eventually find their way into the Porsche world.
The turning point came when Nakai got his hands on a damaged Porsche 930. What started as a personal project would eventually evolve into the RWB style we know today — taking classic Porsche shapes and pushing them to an entirely different level with massive arches, aggressive wheels and Nakai’s unmistakable signature.
This 1994 Porsche 993 is a perfect example of that philosophy: a classic Porsche transformed into something raw, aggressive and unmistakably RWB.
