This 1982 Porsche 911 SC was converted from a European 204-PS model with a limited-slip differential into a functional safari/rally 911.
Following the conversion and a complete repaint in Safran Yellow, the body is in very good condition. The vehicle currently has 114,000 km on the odometer.
The technical conversion includes, among other things, modified shock absorbers and suspension components, all-terrain tires, and a new exhaust system.
The Safari conversion was custom-built from the ground up. This includes a precisely tailored roof rack with a spare tire, sand plates, an air rail, and a Hi-Lift jack; complete underbody protection; additional protection for the oil lines; front and rear bumpers; and a winch structurally integrated into the front of the vehicle. The concept is complemented by an aluminum rally light bar, auxiliary headlights, and a Ducktail spoiler.
The interior has been completely redesigned with custom-made components, Alcantara, custom seats including 4-point harnesses and lightweight carpets, a short shifter, and a club sport roll bar. The audio system is controlled via a digital mirror using CarPlay.
The vehicle has an “H” license plate; all modifications are registered and legalized in Germany.
Extensive photographic documentation of the entire build is available.
After completion, the 911 was put through its paces on a roughly 5,500 km journey to the Sahara, following old routes of the Paris-Dakar Rally on asphalt, gravel, scree, and desert tracks.
A technically well-executed and fully documented Safari 911 that was not only built to specification but also put to the test under real-world conditions.
