Introduced for 1976, the Porsche 911 Carrera 3.0 was built for only two years as the final evolution of Porsche’s early G-series Carrera. According to its Porsche Certificate of Authenticity, this 1976 911 Carrera 3.0 was finished in Silver Metallic and specified with forged 15″ Fuchs alloy wheels, tinted glass, a black headliner, and radio preparation. Of particular interest, the certificate records black leatherette upholstery and black leather Fuhrmann seats with green tartancloth inserts. Named for celebrated Porsche engineer and executive Dr. Ernst Fuhrmann, these orthopedic-style seats were reportedly developed to offer improved support and comfort and remain a rare and distinctive period option.
