Porsche 911 Modified

Porsche 911 Modified

Coupé, 1967

Highlights

  • '67 SWB - green instruments
  • Irish green 6606-G - original color
  • 2.2 L engine according to “S specification” - short 5-speed gearbox

I am pleased to be able to offer this '67 SWB Coupé in the beautiful original color Irish Green 6606-G from a customer's vehicle inventory for sale. I have known the owner and his vehicles personally for many years.
This unwelded, unrestored shortwheeler was thinly painted in the original Irish green color 27 years ago. The overall appearance reflects the aura of a perfectly, harmoniously patinated one-off piece in every facet – certainly very hard to find.

The vehicle in detail

The underbody appears untouched and was sealed to a high quality in 2023.
With the well-preserved interior, including the original carpet, VDO wooden steering wheel, two-piece Blaupunkt radio, the original instruments and original seats, it is a real contemporary witness – cared for for almost 57 years and therefore aging gracefully.
Origin, ownership, special features:
The car was first delivered to the US in sunny California and was purchased by the current owner in 2015, rust-free and accident-free. After the first few years with extensive detailing on paint, seals and numerous details, with the best possible care and maintenance, the standard 90 hp 4-cylinder engine of the 912 was replaced by a 2.2 liter 6-cylinder Porsche 911 engine in the summer of 2021. A contemporary conversion that was carried out with a TÜV report and H license plate – modification acceptance.

The engine was previously completely rebuilt according to “S specification” with aluminum cylinders/pistons, optimized camshaft, new carburettors, new timing chain and many other parts.
In addition, stronger stabilizers on the front axle, PU-mounted axle swings at the rear and the brake system were completely overhauled with new parts.
Completing the contemporary conversion to the 911, unrestored, original 6 x 15 Fuchs rims with new classic Michelin tires were installed to match the vehicle's appearance – the total amount invested in years 21-23 alone is around EUR 50 thousand.
According to §21 StVZO, a TÜV modification approval for the conversion to the 911 was carried out on July 7th, 2021 and the ABE was issued. The entry in the vehicle registration document was made on July 28, 2021. Numerous documents can be viewed on site.
Since then the vehicle has covered around 8,000 km. It is currently receiving a technical inspection and service with a new MOT in our technical department.

My review:
As a result, you can purchase a very sporty and at the same time elegant “curve robber” of the original form of the Porsche 911 in an extremely rare color and great charisma.
