The vehicle in detail

The restoration took seven years to complete, the restoration phase begins disassembling every last screw to take the chassis to the acid recommended by Santiago Martin Cantero.

It is better in acid because in the sandblasting can remain dust in the area of the central tunnel where the gearbox passes and thus avoid continuous dust inside.
Aero Design did everything with a complete restoration of the chassis. All the front cradle is new, the two interior floors, the rear seats and the cover that separates the engine compartment.

Cataphoresis process which is important to prevent the vehicle from rusting in later years.

The engine and gearbox were made entirely, the gearbox was made by Rafael Vara, in the facilities of Racetorations in Paracuellos del Jarama. Engine manufactured by Emilio de Benito, was completely disassembled requesting all the necessary parts manufactured at EB Racing. Manifold and intake more sporty, leaving it around 140hp with a very reduced weight.

Wiring done at Kroon Wire Harnesses, Netherlands, a Porsche wiring specialist working for Singer tuner. The whole installation is disassembled and a completely new one is put in.

All parts are sandblasted and painted by Chorreados Madrid. Replacing all the parts that are not in perfect condition.

Prototype steering wheel, wings, front hood, doors, bumper and rear hood, all the windows except the front are fiberglass, polycarbonate so lightening it as much as possible similar to a R. The only component that is not fiberglass as in the 911 R is the front bumper that was decided to install metal, since so much lightness in front can cause loss of direction.

The tank was made as the original R, but without drilling the front hood as it had to go through a rib of balsa wood and structurally was not well, so it was decided to stay inside the hood directly, but being the large mouth of the 911 R to be able to load gasoline faster.

The battery is a lighter racing battery supplied by Racing Import.

The seats are Italian Torino with headrests, a piece that originally did not have but then was equipped for safety with Willans safety harnesses.

The rear safety bar was custom fabricated for occupant safety by Vimesa, specialists in the same.

Front turn signals and front low beam were sourced from Sierra Madre Collection in California.

Brake calipers, pistons, rubbers and seals completely restored. Aviation tubing was installed, which is much safer.

New pads and discs. The tires were restored even though they were in very good condition.

The front shock absorbers were restored and the rear ones were bought new.

The upholstery was made in its entirety, floor and roof included with Gonzalo Mancisidor (Racetoraciones) with a layer of Dynamat, which is an acoustic and thermal insulator that protects the vehicle from noise and temperature, thus achieving that the interior of the vehicle there are no vibrations listening carefully to the engine.

The tires are new, preserving the originality of the period.
