1977 Porsche 911 Carrera 3.0 “RS 3.8”

This is one special build with a lot of expensive upgrades.

Basis is a 1977 Porsche 911 Carrera 3.0, converted to 1974 911 Carrerar RS 3.8 in 2004. Great fun to drive both street and track. Imported to Norway in 2007. The 964 engine was rebuilt to a 3.8L flat-six with high-compression Mahle pistons and cylinders, ported cylinder heads, and electronic fuel injection and Motec engine management system.

Engine and transmission:

964 engine nr 62K00996 and rebuilt by Pro Technik INC,Porsche Repair and Racing 12999 Murphy RD. Stafford TX. in August 2004.Invoice with a total of  18 107 dollar in 2004.

Engine components  include:

  • Crankshaft: Porsche 964 standard.
  • Connecting Rods; Pauter std. 3,6-3,8 5 inch.
  • Rod Bearing standard: Glyco coated polydyn,
  • Pistons: Mahle RSR 102mm 12,5 CR.
  • Heads Ported: Custom 3,6 Porsche
  • Valves intake: Victory Titanium 51,5 mm
  • Valves Exhaust: Victory Titanium 43,5 mm
  • Exhaust: B&B 1.875 with heater boxes
  • Camshaft Custom Grind: Elgin 304 324
  • Oilpump: 964 standard.
  • Rockers: Standard Porsche.
  • Valve springs: Porsche 964
  • Engine management system: Motec M48:
  • TWM Induction: IR 50MM Butterfly
  • Injector: KRB3165 650CC high OHM
  • RSR front mount oil cooler
  • Clutch: ZF Sachs Racing
  • Billy Boat exhaust system

October 2019: Engine inspected and fuel injectors and clucth was replaced. Also oil change, a valve adjustment, re-torque of the cylinder heads, and replacement of the upper and lower valve cover gaskets, fan belt, and spark plugs.

The engine and Motec M48 was remapped by KRB Trading date 31.08.2021.on a Dynapack Chassis Dynamometer. 282 HP on the wheels and 338.21 Nm at 6994RPM.

– 917 brake calipers, two piece drilled rotors, Turbo master cylinder and proportioning valve.
– RSR Coilovers with Eibach springs and Bilstein shocks., Welded in 89 turbo rear axle cross tube, RSR trailing arms,.Tarett Engineering RSR sway bars
– Front strut brace

Body:
– Steel fender flares
– RS fiberglass front and rear bumper,fiberglass rear spoiler
