Porsche 911 SC

Porsche 911 SC

Coupé, 1981

Highlights

  • German vehicle - 204 hp
  • Complete documentation
  • Engine overhauled - chassis new!

Unthrottled 911SC 3.0 delivered in Germany in good original condition have become rare.
This is unfortunate, because these powerful 911s in particular are among the most exciting models from 1974 to 1989.

The vehicle in detail

The 3-liter engine with K-Jetronik delivers 204 hp, which feels far more powerful than it reads. The power delivery is great, the engine responds extremely well to the gas.
On April 10, 1981, this 911SC was delivered to the first owner, Mr. Bergmann from Münchberg, and registered in Hof on June 4, 1981 in his name. In the early years, the car was driven regularly, an average of around 20,000 km per year. From 1987 to 1990 the annual mileage was approx. 10,000 km, between 1990 and 1993 only 5,000 km. Up until this point, all maintenance had been carried out regularly at the Porsche Center in Bamberg. After that, the car was shut down.
The Porsche was registered again on May 2nd, 1996, and a new letter was issued because the deadline had been exceeded, this time to Ms. Bergmann. This letter is original and shows regular shutdowns in autumn and re-registrations in spring up to 2001. On September 6th, 2001 the car was shut down again and spent the following 5 years in the garage.

In January 2007, the car was resuscitated and presented to the TÜV in Hof on January 17, 2007, a §21 (full acceptance) was created. At this point it was clear that the Porsche should be sold. The speedometer showed 166,932 km at the TÜV inspection.
An acquaintance of the Bergmann family, Mr. Bischoff from the Pforzheim area, took over the car. He knew our company and our philosophy and contacted us immediately to have service work carried out. This then happened in April 2007, extensive maintenance was carried out. On April 16, 2007, Mr. Bischoff registered the Porsche in his name and thus received valid vehicle documents. The Bergmann family's original vehicle letter was stamped invalid and handed over to Mr. Bischoff for documentation. Mr. Bischoff moved the car an average of 2,000 km a year in the following 3 years. In September 2010, Mr. Bischoff contacted us because maintenance was due and because he was toying with the idea of selling the Porsche again.
A maintenance was carried out and a mediation agreed. We then offered the Porsche to a close circle of customers and friends in spring 2011. The car aroused spontaneous interest among interested parties. The model, coloring, condition and price were convincing. In May 2011, an oral contract was concluded, and the purchase was completed on June 29, 2011.
6/30/2011: Approval in the Zollern-Alb district to the current owner. He drove the Porsche regularly from 2011 to the present day. A total of 14,522 km were covered in 12 years, which corresponds to an average of approx. 1,200 km per year.
The car has been regularly serviced in current ownership:
2010 serviced at 173,595 km
2012 Engine overhaul after stud bolt fracture including replacement of all bolts at 176,664 km
2015 service at 184,298 km
2017 service at 187,568 km
2020 to 2022 not used
2023 maintenance at currently 188,118 km

CONDITION

The car is in exceptional condition for its age and mileage. It impresses with its fantastic color combination, extensive originality paired with an extremely likeable patina and its excellent German history. The body substance is excellent, corrosion is not visible. There is documented body damage, here are the details in brief:
On July 8, 1987, the car with a mileage of 98,242 km was delivered to the Porsche Center Franke in Bamberg with accident damage at the front right. An expert opinion was prepared, which documents the damage in detail. The vehicle was measured, no delay could be determined. The front right fender was replaced, the door bulged, headlights and turn signals replaced. In this course, the car was repainted around the lower body area, the roof remained in the original paint. The invoice amount for the repair was 4,489.01 DM. The interior is original and is in good to very good condition with patina and signs of wear on the fabric seats. The technology is excellent, there are no signs of defects or need for action.
