This 1983 Porsche 911 Targa is currently equipped with an air-cooled 3.2-liter six-cylinder boxer engine, derived from the later Carrera 3.2 generation. This is not the original engine configuration for a 1983 model, but it gives the car the classic appearance of the earlier G-series combined with the additional performance of the later 3.2-liter engine.
The engine is combined with the period 915 manual transmission. In November 2023, extensive work was carried out on the gearbox. The transmission was removed and overhauled, including replacement of the first- and second-gear synchronizer rings, differential bearings, seals, flywheel, flywheel bolts and clutch set. The gearbox oil and engine oil were also renewed.

The vehicle in detail

Further documented maintenance was carried out. This included work to the braking system with new front and rear brake hoses, brake lines, rear brake pads and brake fluid. The car also received new spark plugs, air and oil filters, engine oil and gearbox oil, together with additional maintenance items such as a camshaft oil line and valve adjustment parts.

More recently, in March 2025, further work was carried out including a new battery, exhaust gaskets, four split oil-return tubes and fresh engine oil.

In total, the available invoices show more than €14,000 in documented maintenance and repair work between November 2023 and March 2025.

EXTERIOR & BODYWORK:

The car is finished in the classic Porsche color Grand Prix White. Combined with the black trim, black bumpers and black Targa roll bar, it gives the car the characteristic appearance of an early-1980s 911.

The removable Targa roof is one of the defining features of this model and offers a good compromise between open-top driving and the structural feel of a coupé. The car is fitted with black-centered Fuchs-style alloy wheels with polished outer rims, which suit the white bodywork particularly well.

Further exterior equipment includes an electrically adjustable and heated passenger-side exterior mirror and a rear window wiper. The rear wiper system has also received attention in recent years, including a replacement rear wiper motor and switch.

INTERIOR:

The interior is finished in black leather, creating a classic contrast with the Grand Prix White exterior. The cabin retains the straightforward and driver-focused layout for which the G-series 911 is known.

This Porsche was originally delivered new in Germany and is currently registered in the Netherlands.
