SC stands for Super Carrera, the model that replaced the 911 and Carrera models in 1978. Model years 1981-1983 were equipped with a 3.0L boxer engine with 204 hp.
From model year 1983, the 911 SC Cabriolet became the first fully open 911 with fabric hood and was available in addition to the Coupé version and the Targa. Only 2406 units of this model were built in this year.
From model year 1984, the SC version was again replaced by the 911 Carrera. Currently available!
