1980s G-model. Reimported from the U.S. in 2016. 91,000 km, mocha brown.
3.0 with 180 PS, five-speed manual transmission; previously owned by one owner in Germany. I purchased the car at “Garage11” in Hamburg. It has been in my
and has been continuously and carefully maintained ever since. It’s strictly a summer car and has always been parked in a temperature-controlled classic car garage.
Initially, I decided to have the engine undergo a preventive complete overhaul. The work was carried out by Hoeing Motors in Hamburg. The goal was 100% authenticity; even the yellow-galvanized parts were re-galvanized. Naturally, they were installed with new, durable stud bolts. A detailed invoice for the overhaul is, of course, available.
The transmission was completely overhauled by specialist Andreas Dahms.
I converted the U.S. version to EU specifications step by step, including converting the speedometer from miles to kilometers with a certification report.
Original 16-inch Fuchs rims, impeccably restored,
7.0 in the front and 8.0 in the rear, with 205/55 tires in the front and 225/50 in the rear—all registered.
The hood can be swapped out for the original one. I particularly liked the glossy finish in the Magnus Walker style. The car is nearly 100% in its original paint, and I am not aware of any accident damage. Color: mocha brown.
I had the dashboard and the upper door panels restored and reupholstered in leather in the U.S. because I couldn’t find a shop in Germany that does that with leather. However, I wanted to preserve the original condition. Later, the seats were perfectly reupholstered by Cartex, since the old leather was beyond repair. A new, brown-upholstered ’36 Raid steering wheel has also been installed and registered. The original steering wheel is available and has likewise been reupholstered with matching brown leather. New battery and A/C service. New carpet mats
Various minor repairs have been carried out over time.
The invoices are available. With low mileage of around 91,000 km and a fully overhauled powertrain, the new owner gets a top-notch vehicle with no outstanding maintenance issues and excellent engine performance after a short warm-up. This is also reflected in the price. A perfect daily driver. Just get in and drive.
