At the IAA in 1981, Porsche presented the 944: It was not a successor to the 924, but an expansion of the model range. The new one closed the gap that existed between the 924 and 911 in terms of price and performance. The main technical feature of the 944 was its four-cylinder engine, which was developed entirely in-house – this was essentially half a 928 engine. The basic model of the Porsche 944 was built until 1989 – a total of over 112,000 examples of this model alone with the 2.5-liter in-line four-cylinder were produced.

“Graphite gray” is the exact color name of the paintwork on this 944 after consultation with the seller, who also states that the bodywork has already been repainted on the front panel and the sunroof. The current owner of the car cites a scratch on the driver's door as major visual defects and there is a slight kink on the left lower bar because the jack slipped here. Apparently the exterior of the Porsche has all the add-on parts; missing parts on the body cannot be seen. The equipment on board this 944 includes: three-spoke sports leather steering wheel, sunroof, central locking, electric windows, cruise control, air conditioning, ABS and an accessory radio.
