Model history

The Porsche 911 Carrera 2 Cabriolet of the 964 series, introduced from 1989, marked a significant step in the evolution of the 911. As the successor to the G-series, it brought with it numerous technical innovations - including power steering as standard, ABS and a modern coil spring suspension, which replaced the traditional torsion bars. The Carrera 2 was the rear-wheel drive version with an air-cooled 3.6-liter six-cylinder boxer engine that produced 250 hp. In combination with the convertible body, it offered pure open-top driving pleasure, supported by a fully automatic soft top. Today, the 964 Carrera 2 Cabrio is a sought-after classic that offers the perfect balance of traditional 911 charm and modern technology.
