“Who better than the 964 as a balance between the oldschool handling of its 3.2 predecessor with the driving enhancements offered by power steering and climate control. This offered the 964, the authentic pure line with a view to contemporaneity, and if not ask Rob Dickinson of Singer…” – Jordi Edo

Jordi’s opinion
I clearly remember back in the early 2000’s when Valentin Motors used to go every two or three months to Germany to buy some 993 or 964 unit to import it and sell it here in the Spanish market.
If we went there obviously it was for the offer to find good units for our customers and we clearly found two speeches:
-When they showed you a 993 everything was praise, high prices, (we are talking about 24-28 k), and never any discount or negotiation.
-On the other hand with the 964 it was totally opposite, they didn’t want them… you bought good 90,s units in 16-17 k and good mk2 units in 22-23 k.
I also remember some sales transactions that today when thinking about them I pull my hair out, (which I don’t have), like a 3.6 turbo sold after 8 months in stock at 28k… an RS at 55k… etc.
Now I look back and see how the landscape of the 964 has changed, its pure and mythical line, its hard behavior that makes you really work at the wheel, its nobility, reliability and above all, the looks it provokes on the street have positioned the 964 where it should be….
