Porsche described the 993 Carrera 4S in 1995 as follows:

First: four-wheel drive. Second: Turbo looks and Turbo brakes. Third: Turbo interior. Fourth: 911 Carrera 4S.
The result is impressive. The Carrera 4S is lowered (front axle -10mm and rear axle -20mm), has the front end and brake system of the 911 Turbo. It has side skirts, rear flares, 18-inch rims, and a dynamic locking system. Also standard are air conditioning, an on-board computer, full leather interior, fully electric seat adjustment, a rear wiper, a radio, and a sound package. The 911 Carrera 4S offers both visual and impressive technical added value.
