The final 993-generation Porsche 911 Carrera 4S marks a fitting end to the air-cooled era, blending the wide body, suspension, and brakes of the 911 Turbo with a naturally aspirated 3.6-liter flat-six producing 285 PS and advanced all-wheel drive. Turbo-specification brakes, suspension, and 18-inch alloy wheels provided visual presence and precise handling, while its broad track ensured performance in all conditions. As one of the last air-cooled 911s, the 1998 Carrera 4S is admired for its mechanical purity, usability, and design.

The original Maintenance Booklet shows that this 911 Carrera 4S was originally retained by the Porsche factory for approximately 15 months before being sold to its first private owner Allen Collings. A copy of the original sales invoice shows that he purchased the 911 through Porsche Motodrom Sportwagen am Olympiapark of Munich, now Porsche Zentrum Olympiapark, on 9 April 1999. Finished in Forest Green Metallic with Grey leather interior, it was optioned with the all-leather X-Code steering wheel, heated power seats, locking differential, rear window wiper, white fog lights, electric windows, air conditioning, sunroof, and Porsche CDR-21 radio.

As typical of many engineers, Collings diligently maintained his beloved 911 to an exacting standard. The original service book shows numerous stamps along with a large collection of service records. In April 2011, Collings relocated to France and continued to maintain the car through at least 2017, when he sold it to a new French owner. The subsequent French owners have continued to care for it, just like Collings with its latest service was completed in November 2025 by SARL Caruso et fils of Pfastatt, France for €2.800.

Showing just under 136,000 kilometers at cataloging, this rare final-year Carrera 4S benefits from exceptional maintenance history with over 200 pages dating back to when it was new and three keys.
