In March 1995, Porsche presented the latest generation of the 911 Turbo at the Geneva Motor Show, ending a good 18-month vacancy. The new top model of the 993 series was radically different in many ways and broke with the conventions of its predecessors. The Turbo was equipped with all-wheel drive, which came from the 911 Carrera 4. Overall, however, the all-wheel drive only cost around 30 kilograms, which makes the vehicle heavier than its rear-wheel drive predecessor – the rest was saved elsewhere.
