This is a U.S.-federalized, Rest-of-World specification example, reflecting a distinctly documented transcontinental history. Built in June of 2001, it was originally delivered new to Finland before being imported to the United States in May of 2002, at which time it was fully federalized for compliance. From 2002 to 2008, it was based in Florida before being exported to Norway with approximately 3,000 kilometers recorded at the time of departure. Following a prolonged 17-year residence in Scandinavia, it was re-imported to the United States in 2025.

Based on the 911 Turbo from its generation, the GT2 turns the driver’s desire knob to the highest level. Its 456-horsepower rating (up 43 hp over the Turbo), 911 GT1-derived Mezger engine left the factory with larger turbos and intercoolers, a redeveloped ECU, and a revamped intake and exhaust system, while being offered only in RWD and true 6-speed manual guise, and solely driven by way of your complete and undivided attention, as the presence of any form of stability and traction control aids is non-existent. The 996 GT2 represents the last of the modern-era, motorsports-infused, theatrically unadulterated super sportscars, whose main idea is geared towards the driver who prefers pure driving pleasure to the highest extent without the involvement of digital intervention.
