Based on the road version, the Porsche Cayman GT4, the Porsche Motorsport engineers developed a thoroughbred racing vehicle that was designed exclusively for use on the racetrack. The result is a fast but also visually attractive racing vehicle that has excellent driving characteristics thanks to its mid-engine concept.
In contrast to the manual series model, the Cayman GT4 Clubsport has a 6-speed PDK dual-clutch transmission. The Cayman is powered by a 3.8 liter six-cylinder boxer engine with an output of 385 hp. In addition to a racing ABS, there is also an ESP system (Porsche PSM) optimized for racetrack operation. Probably the biggest changes to the production model were made in the area of the axles and brakes. Most of the components from the Porsche 991 GT3 Cup were installed on the front and rear axles. This change is particularly noticeable on the front axle, because the car steers very precisely and gives the driver a lot of feedback. Components from the Porsche 991 GT3 Cup were also used in the braking system. The entire brake system was installed there and on the front and rear axles. As with the GT3 Cup, a brake booster was not installed. These conversions make the Porsche Cayman GT4 Clubsport a true racing vehicle that challenges its drivers and at the same time prepares them for further challenges.
