Porsche 912

On November 7, 1968, with 25 miles on the odometer, this 912 was delivered by Carl R. Carlsen, Inc. to the first owner, Dr. Patricia Rock, from San Francisco, California. The service records are extensive from 1969 to present, along with the original Porsche maintenance booklet documenting the initial dealer services from 1970, with 2,501 miles, to 1979, with 29,046 miles. In 1971, Mrs. Rock married and moved to Portland, Oregon, with the 912. Services were carried out by independent Porsche shops in Portland, Oregon, including Continental Porsche, Heckman & Thiemann Motors, and Marque Motors, all specializing in Porsches. On December 27, 1991, Marque Motors completed a comprehensive engine and transmission rebuild at 84,135 miles. In 2005, Mr. Willenbring had an inspection done by A&P Specialties in Portland, Oregon, acquired the 912, and shipped it back to San Francisco, California, where it underwent regular maintenance at Auto Sport Haus in San Francisco, California.

In 2021, the 912 was purchased by European Collectibles and was sold to the third and current owner from Southern California. European Collectibles had the following work done: a new headliner, restoration of the VDO instruments, replacement of the front and rear windshield rubbers, installation of an engine sound-deadening pad, new Vredestein Sprint Classic tires, and a comprehensive engine tune. Under the third owner’s care, the 912 received regular maintenance and servicing over the past 2,200 miles. The current owner added an authentic Carl R. Carlsen license plate frame and a set of black/orange CoCo mats for added appeal.

Mechanically powered by its numbers matching 1600cc flat-four engine paired to a 5-speed manual transmission with four-wheel disc brakes.
