The Porsche 928 is a sports car model produced from 1978 to 1995 by the German manufacturer Porsche. This is the brand’s first model to receive a V8, installed in the front position. It won the European Car of the Year trophy in 1978.
Its particularly innovative design gives it a modern allure which testifies fairly well to the aesthetic trends of the late 1970s, early 1980s. The choice of engine will make it an «unloved» car for many Porschists who worship exclusively the legendary 911 and its famous Flat 6.
The 928 will however experience some success, especially in the United States, the market for which it was primarily intended, and will benefit from an astonishing longevity.
