Porsche celebrates the 50th anniversary of the 911 at the 2013 Frankfurt International Motor Show (IAA) with a special anniversary model based on the 991 Carrera S: this version features the widebody kit typically reserved for the 4WD Carrera 4. This limited edition of 1,963 units echoes the year the 911 was introduced. The first thing that distinguishes this exceptional model is its 20″ Fuchs-style wheels. Two exclusive colors are offered by Porsche for this edition: dark Graphite Grey and a lighter Geyser Grey Metallic. A solid black version was also available.

This extremely rare variant features chrome trim on the front air intakes and hood fins, and the double chrome strip between the taillights further emphasizes its distinctive character. Each example sports a two-tone 911 50 badge on the rear hatch. This motif is repeated in tricolore embroidery on the headrests and as a two-tone logo on the tachometer and aluminum door sills. The interior is also a beautiful tribute to the original 911: the instruments feature green markings, white needles, and silver caps, just as they did 50 years ago. The leather seat inserts are made in Pepita fabric, just like back then.

The 991 Carrera S inaugurates the 991 generation, with a lighter chassis thanks to the use of aluminum, and new electromechanical steering. Its design remains true to the Porsche spirit while adopting more fluid lines and a wider stance. The interior also evolves with a rising center console and modernized ergonomics. A true all-round sports car, the Carrera S embodies the balance between heritage and technological innovation that is Porsche’s hallmark.

Under the hood, the 991 Carrera S is powered by a naturally aspirated 3.8-liter flat-six developing 400 horsepower, delivering impressive performance: the car reaches 60 mph in approximately 4.3 seconds with the PDK gearbox, for a top speed of 188 mph. This car combines driving pleasure, especially in this first phase, equipped with the naturally aspirated engine that reveals its furious character beyond 4,500 rpm, with chassis precision and everyday usability.
