Porsche 996 GT3 Clubsport for sale!

What started as a test, ended in 508 Porsche 996 GT3 Clubsport Mk1! So what’s special about that? Well…. This test was hand built and so were the rest of the 507 cars!

The 996 GT3 was produced in two series, the Mk1 & Mk2. As mentioned before, the Mk1 was hand built in the factory of Porsche MotorSport in Weissach, a well-known name in the Porsche world! Nowadays a Weissach package can be ordered for the new GT2 & GT3 RS. The 996 GT3 was a success for Porsche, as a result of which more cars finally rolled off the production line than had been planned beforehand.

This GT3 Clubsport is from 1999, the first production year of the GT3! However, this GT3 did not come standard, it was given the Clubsport package and became one of the 508 Clubsport examples.

For the paint colour, Indian Rod was chosen. (This GT3 is still in its first paint! The interior features a number of special options that were included in the Clubsport package, including bucket seats with Nomex upholstery (the texture and feel is similar to alcantara, Nomex upholstery is fire resistant) in addition to the bucket seats: a fire extinguisher, kill switch (power switch), roll cage and 6-point harnesses. Besides the Clubsport package, this GT3 also got an automatic air conditioning and radio, nice for a nice tour in the summer!

The Clubsport was fitted with all the necessary options for a race track, but this GT3 has never been driven on a race track. In the course of time, many GT3 Mk1’s have been killed, how many are left is unknown but also on the internet they are scarce. The Mk1 turned out to be better than the Mk2 that came off the production line in Zuffenhausen.

This Porsche 996 GT3 Mk1 Clubsport goes from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.8 seconds, excellent statistics for a car from 1999! This Porsche was delivered new in Germany. With 53400km on the counter and fully documented maintenance, it is ready for a new owner!
