The G-model. Porsche threatened to fall over time and again where the 911 was just a bit expensive for the masses, and they still wanted to lead the way with technology. Peter Schutz, then CEO wanted to make an even better 911 after poor sales figures. The recipe? A copy of the 3.3 turbo block, and even a 10-year warranty against rust. So basically what Porsche has been doing for almost 60 years. Making gigantic changes and leaving the design almost unchanged.

Until 1987, the 3.2 still had to make do with the 915 gearbox from the previous 911s. Then came the fantastic Gertrag 50 gearbox to last for many more generations. No more stirring in a pan of soup, but tight German response. All this so Hanzel could once again fly down the Autobahn with trembling hands.

Das G-Modell. Porsche drohte immer wieder umzufallen, weil der 911er für die breite Masse einfach zu teuer war und man trotzdem technologisch führend sein wollte. Peter Schutz, der damalige Vorstandsvorsitzende, wollte nach schlechten Verkaufszahlen einen noch besseren 911er bauen. Das Rezept? Eine Kopie des 3,3-Turboblocks und sogar eine 10-Jahres-Garantie gegen Rost. Also im Grunde das, was Porsche schon seit fast 60 Jahren macht. Gigantische Änderungen vornehmen und das Design fast unverändert lassen.

Bis 1987 musste der 3.2er noch mit dem 915er-Getriebe aus den vorherigen 911ern auskommen. Dann kam das fantastische Gertrag 50-Getriebe, das noch viele weitere Generationen überdauerte. Kein Umrühren mehr in einem Suppentopf, sondern straffe deutsche Reaktion. All das, damit Hanzel wieder mit zitternden Händen über die Autobahn fliegen kann.

Diese 3.2? Genau wie Sie es wollen. Seine ursprüngliche unlackiert Preußisch Blau auf blauem Interieur, Schiebedach und pfiffige G50 Getriebe und vollständig von Porsche-Spezialist gewartet. Die BMWs haben nur 135.000 Kilometer auf dem Buckel. Als Sahnehäubchen auf dem Kuchen? Ein schöner Mehrwertsteuer-Youngtimer für den Unternehmer mit geringer Kilometerleistung.
