Porsche 911 Turbo 3.3

The 911 Turbo was put into production in 1975, but the original purpose of the 930 Turbo was to obtain the FIA ​​homologation to race in 1976 in the group 4 category. To obtain the homologation it was necessary to produce for sale to the public, at least 400 cars and this goal was reached in late 1975.

The 930 proved to be very fast but also very demanding to drive, due to the turbo-lag, the short wheelbase and the positioning of the engine, which made it subject to violent oversteers

The 930 Turbo immediately stands out for its extreme and aggressive look, thanks to the showy widened fenders and the iconic “whale tail” rear wing, installed to help channel the air into the engine compartment and generate more aerodynamic load in the rear.

The most significant changes of the 930 came in 1978, increasing the displacement to 3.300 cc.

The intercooler was added which helped to increase the power to 300CV and increase reliability. The rear spoiler was re-profiled and raised slightly to make room for the intercooler, the shock absorbers were stiffened and the brakes were also adapted to the power.

A prestigious and renowned movie star, thanks to the various appearances in films such as “Freedom” from ’82, “Scorpion” from 1986 and “Captured” from ’98.
