After the limited production run of the hugely successful 911 R, a large number of Porsche customers worldwide expressed interest in another manual, wingless 911-style GT3 motorcar. Many Porsche purists were very unhappy about not getting a 911 R allocation, so the factory took note and introduced the 991.2 GT3 Touring.
The 991.2 received a significant power increase from the 991.1 GT3, due to the fitment of a 4-litre engine that produces some 500 bhp and 339 lb-ft of torque that propels the car to 0-60 time in 3.9 seconds with a top speed of 198 mph. The lack of the fixed rear wing makes this GT3 Touring “a wolf in sheep’s clothing” plus with the fitment of the 6-Speed GT Sports manual transmission ensures maximum driver enjoyment throughout.
