1957 Porsche 356 A Carrera 1500 GS coupe, Serial Number 58368, factory replacement Engine Number KD P 91036, Black with red leather, 1.6 litre 4-cam air cooled flat 4 cylinder engine with twin Solex carburetors as derived from the 550 RS Spyder – our engine 91036 as a Type 692/0 was originally delivered in Carrera S/N 84916, and subsequently upgraded by the factory to later Type 692/3 1588 cc, 4 speed manual transmission, original date coded wheels, Speedster bucket seats, delivered new February 2, 1957 to Mr. Herrn Grenz a regional director for Porsche in Germany, European marque specialist restored some years ago and looking and driving superbly today, the Carrera moniker a nod to the 550 Spyder’s numerous successes in the grueling Carrera Panamericana Mexican road race, complete with current FIA Passport, Kardex and Certificate of Authenticity, just coming to us out of our longtime EU client’s fantastic multi-marque blue chip collection, also on file a full inspection report as compiled by Porsche authority, sports car racing great, and Le Mans winner, Jurgen Barth, fresh out of comprehensive servicing and engine overhaul at Porsche expert workshop Speedsport Tuning of Danbury, Connecticut.
