1984 911 Carrera fitted with a 3.0 204hp engine from an SC that was rebuilt just 10,000km ago. Finished in black with black interior, originally a US car and showing 161,120 on the odometer. Chassis number WP0ZZZ91ZES121765. This car has had some extensive mechanical work carried out and benefits from a number of upgrades.

The aforementioned rebuild and tuning on the 3.0 were all carried out by Porsche specialist Perry’s Motor, with the 915 gearbox also refreshed at the same time and further enhanced with a factory short shift. The car sits on Bilstein cup suspension, giving the car a firm but confident ride, and stopping power is enhanced via updated 964 calipers and discs up front. (Please note the muffler shown in the photographs is will be swapped out for another aftermarket muffler built by Swedish X-off, which the owner tells us sounds fantastic on the car)

A number of aesthetic enhancements gives the car a moody, menacing presence. Genuine metal 930 arches have been grafted to the body at all corners, adding that significant width and style loved on the turbo cars. Tucked neatly underneath these are 17 ”RUF Speedlines wrapped in Pirelli P-zero tires. The Turbo look is completed with a 930 front and rear bumpers bumper. (Please note the engine lid grill and badge in the photos have been replaced with a stock item)

Inside the interior remains largely stock, with an uncracked dash and clean, original trim. The stock wheel has been swapped out for a leather clad Sparco 3-spoke item which feels perfect in the hands and right at home in this modified build, and the standard seats have been ditched in favour of a set of surprisingly comfortable Recaro SPG’s. We took a long journey in this car recently and were pleasantly surprised how little discomfort we experienced compared to other buckets seats, even after sitting for 2hrs straight.

The car has perviously been owned by the founder and president of the international classic Porsche Roughneck Brigade, an invite only group of Porsche enthusiasts with a small, dedicated member base around the world. We have driven and tested this car ourselves for around 1.5hrs, and also sat in the passenger seat on a recent 1500km road trip, so can certainly attest to its reliability and driveability both over long distances and when the roads get more interesting.
