The Porsche Boxster (code 986) was fundamental for PORSCHE, having deserted the catalog after many years of service, the 968 and the 928. Only the 911 (993) remains to make volume and therefore cash. The release of the 986 Boxster proved to be strategic: it was a question of winning back hearts, expanding the customer base, relaunching a broken-down car. We often forget it, but in the mid-90s, Porsche was not yet what it is today!

In 1996, before the new 911 (996), Porsche’s new “Baby” was presented, where everyone expected an air-cooled flat-6, and here the Boxster inaugurated water-cooling! A crime for Porsche fans! And yet… how well it works!

We find ourselves with an efficient and affordable vehicle! Between 1996 and 2004, around 100,000 cars were sold, numbers never achieved before for a Porsche! A huge success.
Now it is truly recognized as a Porsche and, believe me, at times so much more fun than a 911! After all, in the Boxster, the engine is in the right place!

An excellent youngtimer for a weekend away thanks to two roomy trunks, or simply for going to the grocery store on Sunday morning.

Our model is a second series, the engine goes from 220 to 227 hp, some aesthetic changes to the front and rear bumpers, the big difference being the glass convertible rear window instead of Plexiglas, and updated interior.
Beautiful, healthy, and highly optioned!! The interior is exceptionally well-maintained for its age! No noisy or broken plastic.

The height-adjustable leather seats on the left and right are also heated, automatic climate control, original audio system with navigation, and trip computer complete the equipment.

With that, I’d say you know it all. I’ll be waiting for you in the garage to show it off and test drive it!
