Porsche 911 Modified

Porsche 911 Modified

Coupé, 1975

Highlights

  • Backdate custom made 911 ST-look
  • Completely rebuild and modified engine
  • Body and Engine modifications done by Longhoods

We present you: A completely custom build backdated 911 with the great ST / Outlaw-looks.

This sporty and and to put it mildly, striking car was build and finished by Longhoods for the current owner. This car started its life as a very clean and rustfree brown 3.2. The current owner always liked the look of the orange ST cars, so after driving the car stock for some time the idea started to completly overhaul this car and make it his dream car.

Das Fahrzeug im Detail

What started as a idea to only respray the car ended in this completly overhaulded car.

Together with the owner we started looking at the available options to make the car complete. After changing the body of the car and started backdating it, the front fender where changed to lightweight fibreglass/carbonkevlar materials. same as the front hood and engine lid. Also the rear fenders are made wider with the ST-flares.

The engine also received a lot of attention.

The cilinders are boret up from the original 3.2 Litre to 3.4 Litre. The pistons are replaced for higher compression ones, the valve springs are upgraded, we installed motorsport camshafts, high butterfly throttle bodies (RSR specs), Programmable engine managent computers, lightweight flywheel, aluminium pressureplate and custom ‚Longhoods fuel rails‘. . To make the engine upgrades complete it was finished with a airfilterbox, rearmuffler and matching manifold like the ST-specifications. After professional tuning the engine it made a total of 304 pounding horsepowers!

The transmission was rebuild during this project and the gearshift selector was changed to give it the right feeling when you are ready to shift it up a gear. To finish the drive-line of this car there was a limited slip differential added to the package.

After the technical part was almost complete we started changing up the interior of the car. There was a quickrelease steering will added and some great looking Recaro bucket seats and a matching 4-point harness.

At this point the lightweigt upholstery and rollcage was also mounted inside the car.

To finish the looks and to optimise the handling of the car it was put on some 17 inch Fuchs wheels with Michelin Pilot Sport Cup2 tires, and was given multiple suspension upgrades.

An complete photo documentation from during the build of the car is available.
