Das Fahrzeug im Detail

Production of the Type 993 Porsche 911 began in 1994 and would be the final development of the traditional air-cooled Porsches. A thorough development of the platform, the chassis received new alloy rear subframe connected to a multilink suspension designed to overcome the previous generations’ tendency to oversteer while decelerating. In addition, the 3.6-liter flat-six engine received Porsche’s Varioram intake, which alters the distance the air travels into the engine for increased performance at a given operating speed—resulting in a power output of 268 horsepower for the standard Carrera model. This power was fed into the first six-speed manual transmission offered as standard in a 911.

Tony Hatter’s design retained the classic 911 greenhouse while better integrating the front and rear bumpers for a smoother, modern look. As with previous generations, the 993 could be ordered in a number of specifications and body styles with the range including coupes, convertibles, and targas.
Sold new through Essex Sports Car in Maplewood, New Jersey, this 1995 Porsche 911 Carrera Coupe is finished in the classic shade of Grand Prix white over a gray and black leather interior. Loaded with extras, the window sticker on file lists a limited-slip differential, heated seats, power seats, driver’s lumbar support, a rear window wiper, an electric sunroof, and supple leather front and rear as options fitted to this Porsche.
This 911 has remained in the Garden State for its entire life and can be found today in desirable stock condition with no modifications. An invoice on file dated 2004 indicates the vehicle received a new wiring harness as a result of a recall, with Paul Miller Porsche performing the work. More recently in October 2022, the car was sent to Rennwerke LTD in Elmsford New York for a new fuel pump, fuel filter, battery, and to have the fuel injectors cleaned. The Carrera will be accompanied by a tool kit, tire inflation pump, and owner’s books including the maintenance booklet.
Well-optioned, this 1995 Porsche 911 Coupe will make a fine addition to any garage. A wonderful driver-quality example, many more enjoyable miles are sure to follow for anyone lucky enough to get behind the wheel.
