This example, equipped with matching engine and transmission numbers, is a so-called "matching numbers" vehicle. According to the paint layer measurement, the measurable body parts only show repainting on the doors. The entire car looks largely untouched and only a few stone chips are a reminder that it was delivered more than 30 years ago.
The underbody, like the glazing, many seals and rubbers, as well as the lights and other attachments are still largely in the original delivery condition. Most of the original production stickers and underbody protection are still present. These irretrievable details and the very original, authentic flair make this 3.2 a very rare fellow. Because although the body was already fully galvanized from model year 1981, most of its companions have suffered greatly due to everyday use. Vehicles from German delivery, like this one, are therefore a very rare occurrence in this condition. The underbody shows no abnormalities, but is dry, clean and undeformed and still has the original exhaust system and heat exchangers.
With a total mileage of just 64,500 kilometers, this is one of the few vehicles that is characterized by very low mileage and is in the same condition, both optically and technically, as one would describe a year-old car today. The rare electric and heated full leather seats, as well as the entire interior is clean and well-kept and without significant wear and tear. Despite the low mileage, this car was consistently maintained exclusively in Porsche centers. We have already been able to offer several 3.2s with low mileage, but we have only rarely seen such an extraordinary example and are always enthusiastic when we see and test drive this perfectly preserved vehicle with its unique history.
The standard equipment of this model from the last year of construction was already lavishly equipped. The special equipment is also interesting because the vehicle received a shortened shift lever for sporty gear changes, among other things.
Except for the current entry, the car has only had its checkbook maintained in the Porsche Center and has the complete original logbook with all content such as the operating instructions, as well as the complete key and tool set, which is in unused and partly original welded condition.
Due to the seamless TÜV and exhaust gas test reports since delivery, the mileage and history are documented without a doubt.
The vehicle received a new brake system and new tires as part of the major inspection and technical check in 11/2021. Thanks to the extensive maintenance and revision, the vehicle is therefore immediately ready for use.
The classic color combination in silver metallic with the black leather interior and the black Targa bar is probably the most beautiful way to drive a Porsche, both in terms of shape and color. The extended leather interior includes not only the seats, but also the dashboard and the door panels are made of real leather.
Thanks to the expert care of the previous owner, the vehicle has been very well maintained over the years and has also been regularly and professionally serviced by Porsche. The service receipts and the associated stamps in the checkbook document the maintenance history.
Conclusion: For many Porsche enthusiasts, the 3.2, especially as a Targa, is the most beautiful and certainly the most sophisticated air-cooled model. Owning a historic 911 of this quality and level of preservation is certainly the dream of every Porsche enthusiast. The 3.2 models in particular have been very popular for some time, and this will continue to increase.
Vehicle history:
The first delivery took place on July 20th, 1989 as part of a factory delivery by Porsche AG to the first owner. The original, first registration document shows a total of three owners. The original checkbook including on-board folder and operating instructions with extensive service and maintenance documentation, as well as the original Porsche invoices and all TÜV reports since 1994 are available. As a result, the history is complete and unequivocally verifiable.

Body.
The body is in very good condition. The closing behavior and the fitting accuracy of the doors and hoods is impeccable. All gap dimensions of doors, hoods and all attachments such as rocker panels, bumper panels and decorative grilles correspond to the delivery condition. The body is absolutely free of damage and corrosion.
To the best of our knowledge, the vehicle is accident-free after an intensive assessment.
Exterior paintwork
Based on the paint layer thickness measurement carried out and the resulting values, this vehicle has the original paint finish at the factory level. Only both doors on the left and right were (re)painted once.
attachment parts
All add-on parts of the vehicle are complete. They are in near-pristine condition all round.
glazing
The glazing of the vehicle is almost free of stone chips and scratches. All seals on the vehicle are original, as good as new and a perfect fit.
interior
seats and panels
The entire seating system, the side panels and the center console are in very good condition. There is no significant wear or damage.
instruments
The vehicle has the standard instruments, all of which are technically and optically in perfect condition. All instruments are working properly at this point.
Aggregate engine
Due to the completely traceable history, we assume that the engine and transmission are the original units of the vehicle. Revisions have not been necessary up to now, but maintenance measures have been carried out regularly so that the engine works perfectly in all temperature, speed and load ranges. There are no suspicious noises or smoke development. The entire engine compartment, including the engine and its attachments, are in very good condition. The cold start behavior and the engine running over the entire temperature range up to the constant operating temperature are impeccable.

The vehicle's transmission can be shifted perfectly in all load conditions, there are no suspicious noises. The gearbox works perfectly.

The brake discs, brake pads and brake calipers were renewed in 11.2021. All prescribed maintenance work was carried out regularly on the brake system and the chassis.

The tires are new. DOT 4021 and 3821.

The entire electrical system is almost in the delivery condition. No changes have been made here, but all care and maintenance measures have been carried out so that the entire electrical system is currently working properly in all areas.
