The project includes:
Originally based on a 83 SC 3l with low mileage (115.000kms).
Full disassembly to chassis and repaint of all elements to its original colour U3 Zinn Metallic. The aesthetic of the car was kept strictly stock looking in keep with its “stealth” identity.
A 3.6 / 964 engine was sourced, opened and fully checked over. A programmable Ruf ECU , sport exhaust and light-weight flywheel extract the fantastic potential of this power-plant. The car runs twin radiators to keep things cool.
The original 915 gearbox has been fully disassembled and rebuilt with new gears, synchromesh and reinforced side cover. A Sachs performance clutch was mounted while a full cooling system with an electric pump and radiator has been installed to keep up with the torque.
Finally, a new spring-loaded linkage and short shifter were fitted for crisp and precise gear change.
Suspension components were powder-coated and the hardware was zinc-plated.
A great performance/comfort handling compromise was found thanks to a fully polybushed set-up, an upgraded rear anti-roll bar, uniball drop-links and Bilstein shock absorbers.
All the braking system was upgraded to 4-pot Brembo 964 aluminium calipers in order to provide powerful and precise braking to match the new level of performance of this car, as well as to comply with the regulations.
The interior was treated with the same loving care with a full detailing, original Turbo seats, new Blaupunkt “classic” sound system…even though the sound of the engine is far better
Sherry on the cake, all modifications as the engine swap and bodywork are homologated and we will provide a valid technical certificate.
With less than 1500 test kilometers since restoration, this car is immaculate, reliable and ready for its second life!
