Carrera-Sport-Classics is pleased to offer this beautiful 1981 Porsche 911 SC 3.0 Targa, finished in the elegant period colour Moss Green Metallic (20C), combined with a beige leather interior.
First registered on May 13, 1981, this Porsche was originally delivered in Switzerland, where it remained until the early 1990s. It subsequently moved to the Netherlands and has been registered in Belgium since 2017.
With 126,767 km, its original matching-numbers engine and an exceptionally complete documentation file, this is a particularly attractive example of the classic air-cooled 911 Targa.
One of the strongest features of this car is undoubtedly its history.
The original Porsche owner’s manuals and stamped service book are present, together with the original Swiss Abgas-Wartungsdokument, numerous service invoices dating back to 1999, historical mileage records, a professional valuation report from 2018 and various additional documents.
The original Swiss records already document the mileage from 33,656 km to 74,418 km. Later Dutch and Belgian documentation continues this history, providing a remarkably consistent mileage record over several decades.
The car retains its original matching-numbers 3.0-litre air-cooled flat-six engine, combined with the classic five-speed manual gearbox. The clutch and flywheel have previously been replaced.
In May 2026, significant mechanical work was carried out, totalling €6,491.40 including VAT. A total of 35.5 labour hours were invested, including the installation of new tyres, a new starter motor, inspection of the rear suspension and replacement of various mechanical components.
The engine starts immediately, runs smoothly and the gearbox shifts perfectly through all five gears. The car drives beautifully and offers the pure, mechanical driving experience for which these classic 911s are so highly appreciated.
The bodywork presents in very nice condition. Certain panels retain their original paint, while others have been repainted in the past. No visible evidence of major accident damage or structural repairs has been identified.
The combination of Moss Green Metallic and beige leather is particularly attractive and perfectly suits the character of an early 1980s 911.
The car is equipped with 16-inch Fuchs wheels, a front spoiler and additional front fog lights.
Inside, the beige leather interior is beautifully preserved and remains largely period-correct. Even the original speakers are still present, without intrusive modern audio modifications.
Air conditioning is fitted but currently disconnected.
The ownership history is equally well documented, beginning with its first owner in Switzerland, followed by an owner in the Netherlands and subsequently three owners in Belgium.
What makes this particular 911 SC Targa especially appealing is the combination of its elegant colour scheme, matching-numbers engine, carefully documented mileage and extensive history, complemented by significant recent mechanical investment.
This is not an over-restored show car, but an honest, beautifully preserved and well-maintained classic 911, ready to be enjoyed.
A wonderful opportunity to acquire an authentic air-cooled Porsche 911 Targa with exceptional documentation and timeless appeal.
