PORSCHE 924 CARRERA GTS
The G(oa)TS of Transaxles.
Original Porsche 924 Carrera GTS – No. 25 – 3 previous owners – 11,109 km – Completely traceable owner history – Successful racing history
This rare 924 Carrera GTS is one of only 50 and therefore one of the rarest Porsche sports cars of the time. The price of the basic piece of sports equipment was DM 110,000 ex works. At the time, this was an extremely high price.
By doing without any comfort and using lightweight materials, this racer was extremely light and, at the time, faster than a 911 Turbo. As a pure motorsport model, the vehicle could be approved for road traffic with a single approval.

The vehicle in detail

In 1981, the competition variant made its debut in the form of the 924 Carrera GTS, which had normal lights behind Plexiglas covers instead of the pop-up headlights. The boost pressure was increased from 0.75 to 1 bar, increasing the power to 245 hp. At the same time, the absence of insulating material and a comfortable interior reduced the curb weight by around 50 kilograms. In addition to the flared fenders, the front apron, the bonnet and the doors were also made of fiberglass-reinforced plastic.
This Porsche 924 Carrera GTS with the chassis number WP0ZZZ93ZBS710025 was sold to its first owner, Dr. R. Nardini, extradited to Rome.
The number 25 was exported to Italy immediately after it was first registered in Germany and used there directly as a motorsport vehicle on the circuit. The greatest achievement of Dr. R. Nardini was the 1983 Italian Circuit Championship winner in Group B.

In this season, which is well documented, the vehicle completed all runs without a technical failure. Letters of congratulations from Porsche Germany prove this.
The first owner sold the vehicle to his friend, also a doctor from Bolzano, when he was very old. In the years that followed, he drove it in a number of vintage rallies, also in Italy, and converted the vehicle to its current condition.
In 2012, the vehicle came to Germany as part of a collection. The owner, who never registered the car, was looking for a 924 Carrera GT at the time. He found this 924 Carrera GTS, which has been part of a fancy racing collection ever since.
The history of the three previous owners in Italy and Germany is fully documented. The mileage is 11,109 km. The entire history since delivery including all historical original documents and certificates, the birth certificate, the certificates as well as the log book and all accessories are preserved.
The vehicle is currently prepared for historic rallies and can be used immediately. In addition, all original parts are present, such as Matt steel cage, lollipop seats, magnesium rims, belts, small parts, etc., to restore the car to its original condition. A German full inspection has already been carried out and an H-certificate has been prepared, so that the car is already street legal in the current rally trim.
After renewal of the Italian FIA HTP (Historic Technical Passport), the vehicle can be used directly. The possibilities are diverse: Group B Legends, Youngtimer Trophy, Le Mans Classic, Tour de Corse, Cup and Touring Cars, Tour Auto, and much more
This Porsche 924 Carrera GTS with the number 25 is third-hand with 11,109 km and a complete history, suitable for any area of use. As a street legal collector's vehicle, as a rally vehicle for historic races and even for the circuit, this example meets the highest demands.

The car was first registered on August 4, 1981 in Stuttgart to Hahn Sportwagen GmbH (today Porsche Center Stuttgart). The first delivery of the vehicle to the first owner, a racing enthusiast and active racing driver Dr. from Rome, took place on August 13, 1981. One of the outstanding sporting achievements of this 924 Carrera GTS and its driver is certainly the victory of the Ital. Circuit Championship Gr. B in 1983. In 2001, after 20 years in the possession of the first owner, the vehicle was sold on November 28, 2001, directly from the first owner to the second owner, a Dr. from Bolzano, sold. The vehicle was registered for the second owner, a passionate and ambitious rally driver, for 11 years before it was imported back to Germany on November 6th, 2012 and sold to the last owner to date, who had had the car in his for 11 years had possession. In 2013, TÜV Rheinland prepared an expert opinion for obtaining an individual operating license in accordance with §21 StVZO and an expert opinion for the classification of a vehicle as a vintage car in accordance with §23 StVZO. Since the vehicle has not been technically changed since then, these reports can be updated without restrictions and the vehicle can be registered in Germany without restrictions.
