Porsche 944 Turbo S Coupé

Extensive maintenance work has been carried out in recent years. The timing belt was replaced about two years ago. Last year, an oil change, a spark plug replacement, and a transmission fluid change were performed. In addition, the brake system was comprehensively overhauled. All four brake calipers were overhauled, the master cylinder was replaced, and the brake fluid was changed. New brake rotors were also installed this year. The tires were replaced just last year.

The vehicle has also been equipped with select modifications that enhance the driving experience. It features a KW V2 coilover suspension with adjustable rebound and compression damping. This allows the suspension to be individually tuned, offering precise steering response and very balanced road holding. In combination with the 944 Turbo S’s transaxle design, this results in a direct and confidence-inspiring driving experience.

On the engine side, the vehicle features a Lindsey Racing wastegate as well as a modified turbocharger impeller. This brings the power output to approximately 280 hp. The power increase harmonizes very well with the vehicle’s character and remains within the range that the robust Turbo S drivetrain can handle without issue. This is complemented by a sports exhaust system that provides an appropriate acoustic accompaniment to the turbo engine.

A Uniball shift travel shortener was also installed. As a result, the shifting is significantly more precise and direct than in many standard vehicles of the series. Gear changes are short and precise, without the often-noticed play in the original shift mechanism. In addition, a widened RUF accelerator pedal has been installed, which allows for more comfortable pedal operation, particularly during sporty driving and double-clutching.

The interior is in very good condition. The dashboard is free of cracks, and the seats and controls are well-maintained, conveying the harmonious overall impression of a carefully preserved vehicle.

The vehicle was originally delivered to Italy and remained in the same ownership there for a long period of time. The original service booklet is available. The condition of the body, underbody, and chassis components suggests that the vehicle has never, or only very rarely, been exposed to winter road conditions and road salt.
