The press vehicle for sale here is extensively equipped with some extras, such as a limited slip differential, window regulators and the Radio Symphony, which are subject to a surcharge, as otherwise all comfort features have been omitted at the factory.
The car is also interesting and unique due to its prominent history: This is the official Porsche press vehicle, which was built especially for this purpose in 1992 to present the model and which was made available to press representatives and other prominent brand ambassadors such as Walter Röhr. At the time, this vehicle was reported in several car magazines. The original press documents and publications exist.
A well-known press photographer at the time bought the vehicle from Porsche in 1995. Since then, the car has been owned by this Swabian Porsche enthusiast. According to the expert opinion of the expert Deuschle, the car is accident-free and almost free of repainting, as well as in the original / delivery condition. Only the fog lights were replaced by the RS air intakes and a cup tube was installed. The original parts are also available to convert this again. On request, the additional three-piece RH rims with speed yellow rim star can be purchased.
The complete on-board folder with checkbook, operating instructions and the Speedster additional instructions are available as well as the almost untouched tool kit with compressor and jack, which is still in the original packaging.
Since the delivery receipt and the invoice from Porsche, all evidence of the maintenance that has been carried out continuously at Porsche in Stuttgart except for the last one in 2018 has been available. The entire history of the vehicle is therefore understandable. In addition, there are the original, hand-stamped key rings that the Porsche press department assigned to each car at the time.
With just under 49,500 km mileage from second hand, this very clean car is in a condition worth collecting. New tires are currently fitted and the vehicle is being delivered with a new TÜV and is ready for immediate use.
Conclusion: It is the dream of every car enthusiast to own a Porsche Speedster. This 964 Speedster is unique due to its exterior color speed yellow and the prominent history. And apart from any prestige, its proximity to the legendary RS and the lightweight construction principle make it a fascinating car with a captivating look and impressive driving performance. Due to its history and rarity, this model is also a safe investment and receives current attention due to the current presentation of the 991 Speedster.
First owner: Porsche AG Stuttgart.
The current owner has owned this vehicle since 1995.
Two entries are noted in the vehicle registration document.
After 32,637 kilometers, the speedometer was replaced by the Porsche Center Stuttgart on July 12, 1994 due to a leak. This was documented in the service book. Therefore, based on the maintenance documents, there are different mileage values, because the new mileage was added to the old one first and the new one was used last. The maintenance documents document this completely.
