HCC is pleased to offer this 1998 Porsche 911 Carrera 4S, painted in Arctic Silver Metallic over a Black leather interior. This example currently shows 75,665 miles and is powered by a 3.6-Liter flat-six engine paired with a 6-speed manual transmission.

The 993 Carrera 4S was offered between 1996 to 1998 in the US, allowing owners to enjoy the 993 Carrera 4 powertrain while sporting a widebody 993 Turbo shell. Equipped with a 3.6-Liter flat six engine, the Carrera 4S’ output is 282 horsepower that was channeled through a new all-wheel-drive system.

Porsche-Exclusive options on this example include a stainless-steel exhaust system and stainless-steel doorsill kick-plates with model designation. Within the cabin, this 993 C4S features aluminum-look instrument dials and aluminum/leather shift knob and handbrake-related trim via Porsche-Exclusive. Additional factory equipment includes a Hi-Fi Sound System, 8-Way electronically adjustable comfort driver and passenger seats, Cruise Control, and electronic sunroof.

In previous ownership, this 993 received routine service as well as additional maintenance, including a top-end engine rebuild, replacement of rings and crank seal, and replacement of lifters with updated hydraulic lifters at 50,671 miles and replacement of lower valve covers and gaskets and chain cover O-rings at 69,931 miles. At 71,302 miles, a service encompassing a power steering rack refurbishment by Howard Wright, ignition cylinder replacement, and replacement of front struts with Bilstein B6 Performance.

This 993 C4S was acquired by its current consignor in November 2022 with 72K miles. The car subsequently received a comprehensive service that included an ignition service with the replacement of the ignition wire set, distributor caps and rotors, spark plugs, and ignition coil. The shift rod and ball cap linkage were replaced, and the alternator fan housing was removed and replaced. At 75,392 miles, the previously installed RS clutch was replaced with an OEM dual-mass setup.

The chain boxes were additionally disassembled and resealed, and the front brakes and front sway drop bar links were replaced. Other items installed in their ownership include a Porsche Classic Radio and a set of 993 Porsche Technology Hollow Spoke Wheels. In their ownership, the car would go on to win its street category class at the Porsche Club of America Concours d’Elegance.

The car is now being offered with accompanying service records, clean title, fresh oil change via Mayo Performance, a Carfax report, and manufacturer literature.
