1955 Porsche 550 Spyder replica by Beck and Chamonix Karosserie, S/N 117255380, Silver with red leather.  2.1 liter 4 cylinder hi-po VW engine with 4 speed transmission.  Chamonix Karosserie of Brazil was founded in the 80’s by the creator of the Puma and they soon partnered with Beck to manufacture Speedster and 550 Spyder replicas.  Road and Track Magazine named them best replica in the world.  This 550 Spyder is in wonderful condition inside and out and just had a service and tune up my local marque specialists.  The “spyder” is an absolute hoot to drive and it is a challenge to stay within the speed limits…this wants to run…and due to its size and killer engine note, it feels like you are going 80mpy when you’re going 35!  We don’t know much about its past but the bang for the buck on this 550 is without question.  *titled as a 1967 VW.
