Porsche 993 MY 1997 Carrera 4 Cabriolet Varioram (one of the very last produced). The car was delivered new by Porsche dealer Soveco in Bologna and has been owned by the same private owner since 2000. All maintenance has always been carried out by the same official Porsche dealership (12 services recorded). Recently, the clutch and convertible top were replaced, again at the official Porsche dealer.

After being acquired by us, the car underwent a comprehensive preservation restoration, both cosmetically and mechanically.
Bodywork
The exterior was stripped and fully repainted due to minor parking scratches. All seals were replaced, along with the rear lights which showed age-related wear.
Mechanical Overhaul
A major mechanical restoration was performed, including the replacement of:

All engine sealing components (valve cover gaskets, cylinder head gaskets, front and rear crankshaft seals, cylinder base gaskets, oil pump seals, oil filter housing seal, oil vapor cover seal, timing cover gaskets, timing case seals, crankcase through-bolt seals, intake manifold gaskets, fuel injector seals, exhaust manifold gaskets, catalytic converter seals, etc.)

Main bearings
Connecting rod bearings
Intermediate shaft bearings
Piston rings
All fluids
All filters
Spark plugs
All belts
Brake discs, pads, sensors and anti-noise shims (front and rear)
All front differential sealing elements
Oil return tubes
Valve guides including machining of guides and seats

Additionally:

Varioram system seals replaced
Rear spoiler reduction gear replaced

Overhauled components:

Alternator
Air conditioning system
Starter motor

All four speakers were replaced (original Porsche units in the front, upgraded higher-quality units in the rear), and a Blaupunkt Bremen radio was installed, combining a vintage look with modern functionality.
It is truly difficult to find a 993 in these conditions.
The asking price is already very close to the total investment made.
