Delivered in 1986 in Chicago, USA, this one arrived in the Netherlands in 2017 in rock-solid condition, though with somewhat dull paint. Fortunately for the car, it ended up with a true enthusiast and, along with a 356 and a 2.7 Coupe, formed a beautiful private collection. The owner, a professional restorer, eventually found the time to neatly disassemble everything and repaint it. This was a truly beautiful job, and it made the Iris blue look even more beautiful. The body itself was completely rust-free, as Porsche, after all, offered a 10-year warranty on the galvanized bodywork back then.

The mechanicals were thoroughly inspected and, where necessary, serviced by a Porsche specialist. So, we can already tick off quite a few things a truly authentic 911 should have. New Pirelli tires were also recently installed. Not because they were worn out, but simply because the lovely new rubber makes the car look so much better. The steering wheel was also covered in wonderfully soft leather.

But we’re not done yet. How about some original options (because we naturally have an official Heritage Certificate with the car to check) such as air conditioning, cruise control, a wonderful power sunroof, or the iconic 16-inch Fuchs wheels? The Turbo rear wing was added at a later date and looks fantastic on the car. Understated, as the car’s color and trim reflect this, but the characteristic shape and size of the wing also give it a bold, typically Porsche 911 feel.

All body, gearbox, and engine numbers are correct, as described in the Certificate, and we applaud that, of course. Finding a beautiful, original, unrestored 911 with the wonderful and highly sought-after 3.2 engine is truly not easy. As the icing on the cake, we can also tell you that, in addition to the aforementioned Certificate, a valuation report, invoices, a USA Carfax, MOT reports, and instruction and maintenance booklets are also included.

As mentioned, we’ll leave the praise for the fantastic driving experience aside, because you need a reason to come to Rijssen to experience it firsthand. We look forward to seeing you.
