Porsche 992 GT3 Touring

One of the wonderful things about the GT3 Touring is the remarkably simple interior layout. This car has been optioned with exceptionally comfortable and supportive full bucket seats, which are upholstered in a mix of black leather and a grippy black cloth in the centers and GT Silver stitching. Specified to be just as pleasant to use on the road as on the track, this GT3 is outfitted with a Bose Surround Sound System as well as auto-dimming mirrors and the crucially important front axle lift system to help maneuver the car in town. The original owner also specified a few special leather options, such as the extended leather package, leather-wrapped sun visors, and a leather-wrapped steering column.

Powering this GT3 is an updated version of the 4.0-liter Flat-6, which produces 502 horsepower, 346 lb-ft of torque, and a 9,000 rpm redline. One of the reasons the GT3 has gained such legendary status is the immense flexibility of the engine- even though it can rev to the stratosphere, it is still extremely tractable around town and has plenty of low-down torque when needed. A 6-speed manual transmission has been selected with three perfectly spaced aluminum pedals in the footwell to make for seamless heel and toe downshifting to increase the driver’s enjoyment behind the wheel. One of the major differences in the 992 GT3 is the addition of an unequal-length control-arm front suspension which was largely influenced by the 991 RSR race car. This allows for a stiffer front end and less dive under braking but without sacrificing comfort over the previous generation car.

It is no surprise that the GT3- and the Touring in particular- has become one of the most sought-after new cars on the market. With multi-year waiting lists and numerous hoops to jump through to acquire an allocation, finding a car like this that is very nicely optioned, a 6-speed manual and with low miles is by far the simplest and quickest way to put a “new” GT3 Touring in your garage.
